Consign

  • Sturdy Used Gear sells consigned outdoor gear, apparel, footwear and accessories. We focus on the items you need to get outside and enjoy our local outdoor sports, such as mountain biking, cycling, camping/backpacking, climbing, paddling, disc golf, etc.

    The brands we accept on consignment are the high quality outdoor brands you would find at any major outdoor retailer. We accept Patagonia, Cotopaxi, Topo Designs, Prana, Arc’Teryx, Chaco, Saloman, Marmot, The North Face, Rapha, and many, many others. If you’re not sure, just ask!


    All items brought in for consignment must be clean (don’t be nasty), gently used, and operational.

  • Athletic sports gear (Basketball, Football, Baseball, Hockey, etc.)
    -Mountaineering Gear
    -Skis and Ski Equipment
    -Vintage Apparel and Gear (if it can’t be relied on, we don’t want it!)
    -Hunting Gear and Clothing
    -Exercise Equipment
    -Big Name Brands or Department Store Brands

    Cycling/Biking
    -Helmets, very used chamois

    Climbing
    -Weight Bearing Equipment Used Harnesses/Ropes/Carabiners (Unless New w/ Tag and Unused), helmets


    Accessories
    -Used Water Filter Systems or Filters

    Electronics
    Watches/GPS Devices/Fitbits/Etc.

    Footwear
    -Big Name Brands or Department Store Brands

The Consignment Process

Bring items into our shop during consignment days (Wednesday thru Friday)

Make sure your items fit the List of Acceptable Items, shown above

Call or email ahead with any questions or to double-check if we are accepting your specific items

Pricing

  • We evaluate an item’s selling price dependent on the item's overall condition, age, desirability, and original MSRP.

  • Brand-new items will be discounted by at least 20% off the current retail price.

Before Consignment:

  • Clean and assess your items for cleanliness, defects, and missing parts

  • Fold clothes and bring them in a structured bag, box, or laundry basket. No trash bags, pwease!

  • Email shop@sturdyusedgear.com with any questions or to check on the status of large items like bikes, boats, car racks, etc.

  • Make sure your items fit the List of Acceptable Items, shown above

After Consignment:

  • Your items will be tagged and merchandised in-store

  • Your items will hopefully sell! Go on with your life!

  • Check our consignor portal for the sale status of your items

  • All payments are made either via store credit or ACH direct deposit.
